Terms of Use

The terms governing use of the Asset Disbursement Beneficiary Portal.

Template terms — require operator legal review

These terms describe how the software operates. They are not legal advice, and the operator must have them reviewed by a qualified professional in their own jurisdiction before publishing the portal.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of the Asset Disbursement Beneficiary Portal, operated by Meridian Asset Administration Services. By accessing the portal you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the portal.

2. What the portal is

The portal is an administrative record-keeping and communication system for the management of assigned assets. It is not a bank, a payment service, a financial adviser, or a legal adviser. Nothing on the portal is financial, tax or legal advice.

3. No guarantee of payment

Nothing in the portal constitutes a promise of payment, a guarantee of any amount, or confirmation of an entitlement. A disbursement record marked as completed means only that an authorised officer has recorded completion and entered an independently verified reference. Processing timelines depend on the relevant administrator and the procedures that apply to the file.

4. Your account

  • Accounts are issued by an administrator. The portal does not offer unrestricted self-registration.
  • You must keep your password confidential and must not share it or any one-time code with anyone.
  • You must not allow anyone else to use your account.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out under your credentials.
  • You must tell the operator promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Access or attempt to access records belonging to another person.
  • Submit documents that are forged, altered, or belong to someone else.
  • Upload malicious code or files designed to disrupt the service.
  • Attempt to probe, scan or test the security of the portal without written authorisation.
  • Use the portal for any unlawful purpose.

6. Information you submit

You confirm that the information and documents you submit are accurate and belong to you, and that you have the right to provide them. You must not submit your online banking password, card security code, PIN or any one-time banking verification code. The portal will never request them.

7. Availability

The operator aims to keep the portal available but does not warrant uninterrupted access. The portal may be unavailable during maintenance, and scheduled maintenance is announced through a maintenance notice page.

8. Administrative decisions

Eligibility, asset verification and disbursement decisions are made by the operator's authorised staff in accordance with the procedures that apply to your file. The portal records those decisions; it does not make them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the portal. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The operator should have this clause reviewed for their jurisdiction.

10. Suspension and termination

The operator may suspend or terminate access where it is necessary for security, where these terms are breached, or where the underlying administration has concluded. Where access is suspended, the reason will be communicated where it is lawful and appropriate to do so.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Continued use of the portal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of State of Delaware, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms should be sent to support@example.com.
